Would you hire this person?
As we look into the future, what skills and behaviors will our future graduates need to possess? Have a look at the portfolio of projects already under the belt of Zachary Jean Paradis, still in his last semester as a graduate student at the Chicago Institute of Design. If you are a company looking to compete in the new value-driven economy, you’re in luck. If you’re applying for the same job and see him sitting outside for the next interview, I wish you luck.
Anyone else want to go back to school?

looks very neat, yes. I’m interested in this as we are going to be exploring the whole area of eportfolios in the Institute of Terchnology, Sligo. This is one way of doing it and this guy is lucky he is friends with a good webdesigner! A couple of quibbles:
1) he lists 13 projects he is involved in, but there is no sense of priority. I’d like a bit more guidance on how he sees them fitting together – a bit more reflexivity and meta-analysis
2) some of his spelling is a little off. Why spoil his design with little errors. As he says (in his iPhone review) its (design today) all about knowledge and relationships. If he was going to design something for me that had text in it I’d want it to be A1!
But, food for thought anyway.

Ahem, not to put a stick in the spokes of this well greased machine but he finished his undergrad in 2004 and seems to have spent 3 years in a research masters. 4.3 projects per year seems just about right, so lets not worry too much…
