Awards don’t hurt a bit

The proof is in the tangible benefits a brand provides, but winning awards is always a nice endorsement of the work. Off the back of the Innovation by Design programme, the Institute of Technology Sligo chose Design Factory to rebrand the college, and the work was just recognised by getting shortlisted for the IDI Design Awards 2008.

    Guys
Got your brochure today and am very impressed. Simple, focused, tells a story and no inflationary language or spin in evidence. In a nation where ‘rent-seeking’ behaviour is endemic it is really good to see a group like yours actually focusing on the needs of its clients and on bringing hope and simple, useful ways of seeing life.
I’ll show your stuff to Prof Dyer here in Trinity and some of the guys in MechEng and perhaps Economics – we aren’t doing anything at your level and in fact I’d love to get College enrolled on your programme!

In the end it’s all about being practical. There appears to be a lot of “talk” about innovation, but little definition of “how.” We also wanted to create some honest stories of what it looks like for small and medium sized enterprises.

Love to talk about how we might work with the college …
